The 2 Factors Most People Miss When Trying to Make a Change

If you’re trying to figure out what would make you happier at work and it just isn’t happening, you’re likely missing one of two things:

  1. Process

  2. Accountability

This is actually true for all types of changes, for the most part! Whether you’re struggling with career fulfillment, you keep talking about starting a business and it’s going nowhere, or you’re trying to break things off with your ex.

Process and accountability are typically what 95% of people I chat with are missing.

Here’s why…If you have all process and no accountability, you know which steps you need to take but you’re simply not taking them. If you have all accountability and no process, action isn’t the issue, but you’re not quite sure which action to take! So when either of these things are missing, it might feel like you’re taking one step forward and one step back, psyching yourself up for the “big change” but never reaching it.

If you want to make the change, but it’s simply not happening, I’d encourage you to consider which one of these elements is missing for you. Is it process, or accountability?

In good news, for those of you whose goal it is to build a more fulfilling career - I’ve got you covered on both of those things. ;) Process and accountability is exactly what coaching provides!

In fact, the April cohort for Purpose Chaser School TOGETHER (AKA my small group program to help high achievers figure out what would truly make them happier in their careers) starts in just over a week! And it’s designed to provide you with both the clear steps and process to follow, as well as accountability (both from me, our group coaching calls, and your fellow PCS members). So if you’re ready to make some big changes and are missing either the steps to make it happen, or the accountability and discipline to make the changes, I’d love to have you join us.
